To put it short: the creation of the sites linked below - including this one - was AI assisted, but my works within were not.
We live in an increasingly confusing world where LLMs and their related tools are shouldering more and more of our tasks, are replacing soul and creativity and in accord with how compartmentalized our society is becoming, are needlessly but understandably anthropomorphized. One thing seems to be sure: despite all of its dystopian undertones and bleak prophesied ramifications, AI is here to stay and will make things more convenient for most.
But please remember, it’s just a tool. And a tool is not your friend, it’s merely a tool and we tend to forget that. The perks however are undeniable, so let's collectively swear to use it responsibly, enabling it to do the gruntwork if need be, but denying it to replace human soul and our voice. The time of cycling pandas, Ozzy singing Britney’s songs and long copies with em dashes and forced bullet points has to come to an end, because an ingenuine world breeds only more ingenuine people, who shamelessly (and worse: gleefully) take a nosedive into a substance-free world. And that's not good. We all have to draw the line somewhere, figuratively and - for graphic artists - literally.
Therefore I can state the following:
Yes, I will keep creating websites and applications using AI to convey my music, my ideas and my art, simply because I am not capable of making these mere vessels for my artisanal stuff traditionally.
No, I will not let AI partake in the creation of my music, art or my core ideas that I build upon.
Yes, I will study, utilize and at times even advocate careful AI use as a smart tool to allow us to focus on our message.
No, I will not let it overtake the focused process of artistry, thus robbing me of the joy of creation, even if it can get painstaking at times, because that’s the fuckin’ beauty of it.
The above lines were thought up word by word inside my head and typed in with my own two hands.
